What is EER?

EER stands for Energy Efficiency Ratio.

The Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of an air conditioner is determined by the output cooling divided by the electrical power input. EER is typically determined by a set outside air temperature, a set inside air temperature and a 50% relative humidity. A higher value means higher energy efficiency.

Trane’s Interactive ACs have an EER of 3.47 and 3.01 for the 5-Star and 3-Star models respectively.
