Press Release, Feb 12, 2013: Trane is granted the coveted 'India Design Mark'

New Delhi, India, February 12, 2013 - Trane, a global leader in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) has been granted the prestigious “I-Mark”/ the India Design Mark by the India Design Council for its  Interactive Air Conditioner and Interactive Electronic Mortise Lock.  The India Design Mark seeks to inspire manufacturers to bring to market well designed products that enrich the lives of people.  In this year, out of 1167 applicants, post 6 levels of screening and close scrutiny by a panel of 19 jury members, only 31 products were granted this mark all over India with Trane products being two of them.

Trane has recently launched Interactive Air Conditioners & Interactive Locks for Indian homes, driven by Trane Interactive Technology. These products interact with each other to deliver a host of benefits for the end consumer. Intelligence & smartness have been built in the product designs in such a fashion that they ensure ultimate comfort, convenience and control. Trane has also bagged the I-Design Awards for 2012 – 2013 for its Interactive Air conditioner in ‘Electrical Household Devices Design’ category and Interactive Electronic Lock in ‘Electronic Equipment Design’ category.

Expressing his happiness over the receiving the mark, Mr. Sameer Nagpal, Business Head and Vice President, Residential Solutions, Ingersoll Rand, India said “We are delighted to have been granted the India Design Mark for two of our Interactive products - the Trane Interactive Air Conditioner and the Trane Mortise Lock. The Trane Interactive Air Conditioner and Mortise Lock have been designed by our in-house team at Trane’s India development centre in Bangalore basis extensive customer research. Design was one of the key pillars of product development and we’re proud to state that the jury shortlisted our products basis their elegance, sense of simplicity, design consistency, great level to detailing and ecological commitment. This validates our belief that product design can be a big differentiator in a competitive ecosystem.”

New Delhi, India, November 30, 2012 - Trane, a global leader in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) has bagged the I-Design awards for 2012 - 2013 for its Interactive Air conditioner in  ‘Electrical Household Devices Design’ category and Interactive Electronic Lock in ‘Electronic Equipment Design’ category. I-Design Award is India's premiere product design award, which aims to highlight the excellent qualifications of best designs, design concepts and design oriented products by Indian designers. The awards were announced in Chennai recently and are organized by I-Design annually across a wide range of categories.

Press Release, April 11, 2012: Ingersoll Rand launches Residential Solutions in India under its Trane brand

New Delhi, India, April 11, 2012 – Ingersoll Rand (NYSE: IR), a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments, launched Residential Solutions in India under its brand Trane. Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services, will usher in a new era of transforming Indian homes through interactive devices that make technology social.

In India, Residential Solutions by Trane will offer a range of premium Mini Split Air Conditioners from 3 to 5 * (star) in capacities ranging from 1, 1.5 and 2 Tons and an Electronic Main Door Mortise Lock.
